— Campaign messageAlex Padilla has called District 2 home for more than 35 years. He and his wife, Stella, raised their three children here and are now proud grandparents.
First elected to the Inglewood City Council in 2013, Alex brings decades of public-safety leadership to City Hall. His career includes 30 years with the Santa Monica Police Department, where he retired as a Captain, and service as a Special Investigator with the Los Angeles Police Commission’s Office of the Inspector General.
Alex earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Redlands and has served with community organizations ranging from the Salvation Army to the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.
